Embrace The Chaos of Being An LDS Mom

October 19, 2017November 3, 2017 Lesley

Who Can Relate To This Mom? Wow I can definitely relate to this. When I first watched this video I thought I think I might be standing in the way of my own happiness as a mom! As a mom I think it easy to get caught up in the daily grind of things. At Continue reading

Human Connection I read an article called “The Opposite Of Addiction is Connection”.  What stood out to me was that we need human connection and what is being found, that many issues come from lack of attachment in the home as children. You could say that you could still have a good relationship with your Continue reading

Revealing Studies On Gratitude & Perspective On Discipline

What Good Is Gratitude? I likw this quote from Elder Utchdorf  “spiritual light rarely comes to those who merely sit in the darkness waiting for someone to flip on the switch”. I think this quote talks about the inner efforts of #gratitude. This infographic gives some outcomes from gratitude that I feel gives a different Continue reading

I often find that I have questions to life that often tie into the gospel. This blog is about the finding light to the tough questions in life that I have.

What you’ll find here may not necessarily be the answer, or even the answer for you. It’s mostly my thoughts and pockets of light I am finding. I think of the scripture that says “line up line precept upon precept, here a little there a little”.

In reading my articles I encourage you to not take what I say as fact, but to pay attention to what feels right and stands out to you. To me this means learning about our personal relationship with God and how he speaks to us individually.

To me I find there is so much noise out there. Everybody has their own opinions and sets themselves up as the true source for answers. I find it overwhelming & confusing.

I find it easy to get caught up believing in what is said even when there’s research behind it. I am finding that many of the things I follow or believe on the internet don’t feel right, go contrary to what I’m taught and church, or aren’t working for me.

I believe that there is a God and that he is the source of all truth. I believe that we all can receive answers from him. That’s what I’m trying to do in my own life and encourage you to do the same.
