What Good Is Gratitude?
I likw this quote from Elder Utchdorf “spiritual light rarely comes to those who merely sit in the darkness waiting for someone to flip on the switch”.
I think this quote talks about the inner efforts of #gratitude. This infographic gives some outcomes from gratitude that I feel gives a different perspective.
5 Ways Gratitude Affects Your Brain
I feel like Elder Utchdorfs quote as mentioned above, describes the inner effort in gratitude. I think this infographic touches on consequences I have personally felt when practicing gratitude. I find these findings to be encouraging to continue to practicing gratitude.
I like the tips in this image on how to work with my son. It was cool to go through it and match his personality to the different types mentioned here. My sons personality is sensitive and found their suggestions where true to what works for him.
Mothers Who Know
I like some of the truths found in the below image. I like 6 “Mothers who know do less”. When I think of this, I think how mothers protect the time of her family. They put family and strengthening relationships first.
Also I like 3 “Mothers who know are nurturers”. I love the thought that “Home is where women have most power and influence…Helping growth occur through nurturing is truly a powerful and influential role bestowed on women.” What a beautiful thought.
Yelling Silences Your Message
I think the world makes it normal to treat children abrasively. I know I’ve succumbed to this too at times. It doesn’t feel right when I do. The thought that stood out to me particular here is “Discipline is helping a child solve a problem. Punishment is make them suffer retribution for having a problem. To raise problem solvers focus on solutions, not retribution.”
